BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 18. Azerbaijan produced 42 power transformers and 178 electrical regulating devices in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the production of power transformers decreased by 24 units (36.4 percent), and electrical regulating devices saw a decline of 9 units (4.8 percent) compared to the same period last year.
On a brighter side of the coin, the production of household refrigerators and freezers reached 99 units, marking an increase of 73 units, or nearly four times more than the same period last year.
Moreover, the country also produced 856.2 tons of other electrical cables during the same period, reflecting a 21.7 percent increase (152.4 tons) compared to January 2024.
To note, Azerbaijan produced 66 power transformers, 187 electrical regulating devices, 26 household refrigerators and freezers, and 703.8 tons of electrical cables in 2024.
