ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 11. In the first quarter of 2025, JSC "KazTransOil" concluded five off-take contracts with suppliers producing goods as part of the Project to establish new production facilities of the LLP "Samruk-Kazyna Contract," Trend reports via KazTransOil.

The off-take contracts relate to the purchase of various types of necessary equipment, including batteries, insulators, anode grounding electrodes, radios, and other goods.

“These goods are used to maintain the operational infrastructure of JSC ‘KazTransOil,’ which, as part of a series of measures, helps ensure the reliable and safe transportation of oil, as well as the stable operation of the company’s facilities,” KazTransOil's statement reads.

The share of domestic value in the purchases of KazTransOil JSC amounted to 72 percent as of 2024, including 56 percent for goods. The increase in their number became possible due to the consistent work of the company to increase the share of local content within the framework of the implementation of the Program to promote the creation of new production facilities of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

“The company continues to support domestic manufacturers and steadily increases the share of off-take contracts in its purchases. It is expected that the implementation of signed off-take contracts will allow JSC ‘KazTransOil’ to make a significant contribution to the country’s economic development. In particular, this will lead to the establishment of new production facilities for import-substituting goods and an increase in the share of Kazakh content in purchased goods, which in turn will reduce dependence on imports and enhance economic security,” the company added.

The company also noted that the increase in the number of potential suppliers planning to establish new production will contribute to the creation of new jobs. The development of new enterprises will provide jobs in regions, which will help improve the skills of local personnel and introduce modern standards in manufacturing processes.

“These steps by JSC ‘KazTransOil’ align with the goals outlined in the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who emphasized the importance of increasing the volume of domestic goods in regulated procurement. He noted that the share of off-take contracts with domestic producers should be increased to 10 percent,” concluded KazTransOil.

In 2024, the total value of contracts concluded by JSC "KazTransOil" with domestic suppliers amounted to 8.4 billion tenge (approximately $15.96 million), including 4 off-take contracts (goods produced by potential suppliers as part of the Program to promote the establishment of new production facilities of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna").
