BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan has increased by 38 percent in value and 15 percent in weight during 4 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through July 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 298,000 tons worth about $242 million for 4 months.
Over the same period last year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 260,000 tons worth about $176 million.
During the mentioned period, Iran and Azerbaijan exchanged rubber materials, agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial products, and other goods.
Furthermore, Iran's trade turnover with neighboring countries amounted to $34.2 million worth $19.8 billion within 4 months. Compared to the same period last year, Iran's trade turnover with neighboring countries increased by 6 percent in value and 5 percent in weight terms.
To note, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) amounted to about 797,000 tons worth more than $671 million. Compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan decreased by 2.4 percent in value and increased by 1.6 percent in weight terms.
