ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 25. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov, held a meeting with the Regional Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus of Coca-Cola Bottlers Almaty (Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. Kazakhstan), Guzel Erdinc, Trend reports via Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
In the course of the meeting, issues related to expanding the company's production activities and increasing investments in Kazakhstan were discussed.
The Minister noted the positive development dynamics of the
company and its contribution to the country's economy, emphasizing
that the demand for non-alcoholic beverages continues to grow.
“Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1994
and produces carbonated drinks, iced tea, water, and juices at
three production sites – in the Almaty region, Astana, and
Shymkent. The production capacity allows for the output of more
than 1 billion liters of beverages per year,” the press service of
the ministry stated.
Over the years, the company has invested about 106 billion tenge (approx. $201.4 million) in the country's economy, and according to Guzel Erdinc, it plans to continue contributing to the development of key industries, expand production capacities, create new jobs, and implement innovative technologies for sustainable growth.
At the end of the meeting, Aidarbek Saparov expressed the Ministry of Agriculture's readiness to provide comprehensive support for initiatives aimed at sustainable industry development, technological modernization, expanding export potential, and strengthening food security in Kazakhstan.
By the end of 2024, the volume of non-alcoholic beverage production in Kazakhstan increased by 3 percent, totaling 2,485.7 million liters, compared to 2,414.2 million liters in 2023.
In 2024, 436.600 tons of products were exported, worth $201.2 million, which is a 12.2 percent increase in volume compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, imports decreased by 0.2 percent, amounting to 393.400 tons ($208.5 million).
