The number of refueling stations of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) in Ukraine will reach 100 by late 2013, head of SOCAR representation in Ukraine Elchin Mammadov told in his interview, posted on official website of SOCAR representation in Ukraine.

At present, the number of refueling stations owned by SOCAR Ukraine in Ukraine exceeds 60. The total number of refueling stations operating in Ukraine at the moment is 36.

"I am sure that in the present and in the future we will surprise. As, when entering the market, SOCAR seeks to become a leader. Even now with a small number of refueling stations in Ukraine, SOCAR Ukraine became a full member of the fuel market. This proof the fact that consumers primarily value quality, and not quantity," Mammadov's words stated in the material.

According to him, in particular, the company plans to develop a network in the regions of Ukraine, where SOCAR has already been represented, that is Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Nikolaev, Rivne, Cherkassy, as well as explore new areas, such as Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is the only producer of oil products (has on its balance two refineries) in Azerbaijan, and also owns refueling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Romania. Also last year, the State Oil Company acquired a network of refueling stations in Switzerland.
