BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. The Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields have produced 643 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 452.2 bcm of gas since their commissioning until September 1, 2024, the data of the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry reads, Trend reports.
Thus, a whopping 595.8 million tons of oil and a staggering 225 bcm of gas have been pumped out of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block (production has been going on since autumn 1997).
However, at "Shahdeniz,” about 47.2 million tons of condensate and 227.2 bcm of gas have been extracted from December 2006 through September 1, 2024.
“To date, 641.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) and about 162 bcm of gas have been exported from these fields,” the source reads.
