BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 9. The number of Visa cards in circulation in Kyrgyzstan's Jalal-Abad region totaled 194,564, as of the end of September 2023, Trend reports.

Data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan indicates a 65-percent increase compared to the 117,375 cards recorded at the end of September 2022.

Kyrgyzstan registered a total of 2.956 million Visa payment cards in circulation as of September 30, 2024, which is a 46.61-percent of the overall cards. This figure increased by 73 percent compared to the 1.704 million cards (36.6 percent of the total) reported on the same date in 2022.

The total number of cards in circulation within the Jalal-Abad region amounted to 771,562 at the end of September 2023, which is a 26-percent rise from the 612,190 cards documented for the identical date in 2022. Notably, Jalal-Abad contributed 12.2 percent to the total number of cards in circulation in Kyrgyzstan by the mentioned date.

The total number of bank cards in circulation in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 6.344 million cards as of the reporting date, which is a 36-percent increase compared to the same date of 2022.
