BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22. The cotton spinning factory of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan in the Halach district of the Lebap region produced 1,650 tons of cotton yarn from January through April this year, Trend reports.
According to the official source of Turkmenistan, during a certain period in value terms, cotton yarn amounted to 21.05 million Turkmen manats ($6.02 million).
Furthermore, the enterprise exported 1,255 tons of finished products in the first 4 months of this year, in the amount of 16.04 million Turkmen manats ($4.59 million).
Turkmenistan intends to implement more than 30 projects in the textile industry using more than $300 million of investments by 2025.
The expansion of existing capacities and the creation of more than 10 new production facilities on the basis of existing enterprises are the key areas of these investments.
