Uzbekistan, Hungary sign number of contracts in various spheres

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 12. Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya delegation and Hungarian entrepreneurs signed 18 contracts worth $124.2 million, Trend reports.

According to the Surkhandarya region government's office, the delegation of the region headed by governor Ulugbek Kasymov paid a working visit to Hungary, where both sides held meetings.

The parties concluded agreements in fishing and plastic processing, the production of wine products, the supply of electronics and agricultural machinery, as well as equipment for the production of bags and furniture.

Out of 18 contracts, the sides concluded six cooperation agreements, nine investment agreements, and three import agreements.

Earlier, Uzbekistan agreed to establish a joint special investment fund with Hungary. The authorized capital of the fund will be 50 million euros. The National Investment Holding, under the Hungarian Ministry of Economic Development, will act as its co-founder. The fund will finance specific projects by Hungarian companies in Uzbekistan.
