BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. A total of 38 industrial enterprises will be put into operation in Golestan Province, located in the north of Iran, from August 23 through August 30, the Chairperson of the Industrial, Mining, and Trade Organization of Iran's Golestan Province Darvishali Hassanzadeh said, Trend reports.
According to Hassanzadeh, roughly 15.7 trillion rials (around $38.3 million) have been forked out on these enterprises.
Hassanzadeh added that, with the commissioning of the enterprises, 650 people will be employed in 11 districts of the province.
He noted that over the past year, 137 enterprises obtained licenses to operate in Golestan province. It is planned to allocate 40.2 trillion rials (about $97.9 million) for these enterprises.
The official emphasized that during the past year, 24 industrial enterprises were restored in the province with an expenditure of 3.54 trillion rials (about $8.6 million). A total of 275 people were provided with jobs due to the reactivation of these enterprises.
Meanwhile, more than 650 industrial enterprises are operating in 23 industrial parks in Iran's Golestan Province.
To note, the number of industrial parks in Iran is 851. More than 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in industrial parks and over one million workers are employed there.
