Iran shines light on considerable foreign investment poured into Golestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. A total of $27 million worth of foreign investments were invested in Golestan Province, located in the northeast of Iran, from March 20 through August 20, the deputy governor of Golestan Province Mohammad Dehnavi said, Trend reports.

According to Dehnavi, the rate of economic participation of Golestan province during the mentioned period amounted to 40.3 percent.

Dehnavi noted that Golestan Province has significant potential in terms of transportation and corridors. Last year (March 21, 2023-March 19, 2024), more than 1 million tons of products passed through the border of Gulustan Inchaburun province. However, during the current year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), it is expected that 1.25 million tons of products will pass via the Inchaburun border.

He stated that around 4,880 facilities have been put into operation and 7,316 people have been employed in Golestan province from January 21 through August 21 (2024) at an expenditure of 89.8 trillion rials (about $219 million).

Meanwhile, more than 650 industrial enterprises are operating in 23 industrial parks of Iran's Golestan Province.

To note, a total of 851 industrial parks are located in Iran. More than 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in industrial parks and more than one million workers are employed there.
