BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. The total value of non-oil product imports through Iran's Golestan Province, located in the northeast of the country, has amounted to $89 million, with a total weight of 34,000 tons, Shahriar Shahriari, the head of the province's customs department, told reporters, Trend reports.
Shahriar stated that the imports mainly consisted of generators, soybean oil, various raw materials, equipment, spare parts, fabrics, and more.
The official further added that the majority of the non-oil products were imported from China, valued at $24 million, and from Türkiye, valued at $20 million.
In addition to China and Türkiye, products were also imported from countries such as Turkmenistan, the UK, Luxembourg, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, and others.
Golestan Province shares a border with Turkmenistan and plays a key role in Iran's exports to Central Asian countries.
