The non-oil products worth $118.6 million were exported through the customs service of Iran’s northern Mazandaran province during six months (March 21-September 22) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), customs inspector of the province Ali Yusifmenesh said.
Some 462,000 tons of goods were exported through Noshahr, Amirabad, Amol, Sari and Firudinkanar customs services during the reporting period, Yusifmenesh added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
He added that these products were mainly exported to Iraq, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Yusifmenesh said that the weight of products increased by 51 percent during six months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Among the most exported products were dairy products worth $67.3 million, ice cream worth $11.1 million, cement worth $9.6 million, rubber materials worth $6.34 million and paper worth $2.41 million, he said.
Yusifmenesh said that 1.83 million tons of products worth $626.9 million were imported during the reporting period.
These products include barley fodder worth $199.5 million, corn for animal feed worth $190.8 million, animal oils worth $164.1 million, industrial oil worth $10.1 million and electric devices worth $0.59 million, he said.
Yusifmenesh said that the products were imported from 26 countries, including Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
The import value increased by 43 percent while import weight - by 20 percent during six months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year, he said.
Some 8,000 tons worth $10.3 million were supplied to Pakistan and Iraq during six months, Yusifmenesh said.
