BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. The carpet exports from Türkiye to Iran saw a significant uptick of 19.6 percent from January through December 2024, compared to the same stretch in 2023, reaching a grand total of $34.3 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
On that account, Türkiye exported carpets worth $3.5 million to Iran in December 2024, 23.9 percent more than in December 2023.
The export volume of carpets originating from Türkiye
experienced a year-on-year escalation of 4.2 percent, culminating
in a total valuation of $2.8 billion for the period spanning
January to December 2024.
In December of the previous year, Türkiye's carpet exportation
reached a valuation of $247.4 million, reflecting a contraction of
3.2 percent in comparison to the figures recorded in December
2023.
It is noteworthy that in the preceding 12-month period of 2024
(spanning from December 2023 to December 2024), Türkiye achieved
carpet exports totaling $2.8 billion.
