BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. The number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Adana Airport in December 2024 decreased by 34 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 3.1 million people, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
According to the Ministry, in December 2024, the airport's passenger traffic on domestic flights decreased by 35 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and totaled 2.5 million people, and on international flights, it decreased by 31 percent and reached 612,170 people.
The airport's cargo traffic in December 2024 stood at 32,037 tons, down 35 percent from the same period in 2023. The airport's cargo traffic on domestic flights decreased 36 percent from the same period in 2023 to 23,247 tons, and cargo traffic on international flights decreased 34 percent from the same period to 8,790 tons.
The information indicates that the number of flights from the airport in December 2024 decreased by 30 percent compared to December 2023 and amounted to 32,854. At the same time, the number of flights carried out on domestic flights decreased by 28 percent and totaled 27,987, while the number of international flights decreased by 40 percent and amounted to 4,867.
Meanwhile, in December 2024, passenger traffic in all airports in Türkiye amounted to 220.9 million people, and cargo traffic amounted to 4.9 million tons.
To note, passenger traffic in 2023 at all airports in Türkiye totaled 117.9 million people, and cargo traffic reached 2.4 million tons.
