Italy expressed its willingness to conduct experiments with the use of the Robust Noise Monitoring technology of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) at the clinical level, the director of the institute, Telman Aliyev told Trend on Nov. 20.
Implementation of the Robust Noise Monitoring technology in medicine will allow listening to the noise in the respiratory tract, to the heart beat and get evaluation information on the existence of problems in a person's respiratory system.
According to the institute's director, the project is scheduled to be launched on an experimental level at one of the Italian hospitals.
"The experimental works on monitoring of the cardiovascular system using this technology are already underway at the institute. We have developed software algorithms to use the Robust Noise Monitoring technology in mobile devices. This is a special program that allows monitoring of asymptomatic period of cardio-vascular diseases using a mobile phone," Aliyev said.
According to the scientist, the software development will be carried out jointly with European experts. Seven European countries have so far shown interest in the application of this technology in medicine. It is planned to also conduct experiments in Azerbaijan for treatment of patients in intensive care.
