BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Last year, the Baku Stock Exchange danced to the tune of 71.1 billion manat, a symphony echoing the rhythm of $41.8 billion in securities transactions.
The data obtained by Trend from the BSE shows that this figure is 2.6 times higher than in 2023.
Throughout the reporting interval, repurchase agreements
constituted 60.9 billion manats ($35.8 billion) of the BSE's
transactional throughput, representing a 3.5-fold increase compared
to the preceding year.
The aggregate transactional volume in sovereign debt instruments
reached 5.9 billion manat, equivalent to approximately $3.4
billion. This represents a decrement of 30.1 percent relative to
the figures recorded in 2023.
