BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. The activities of industrial zones in Azerbaijan have played a significant role in diversifying the economy, attracting investments, creating new jobs, boosting local production and exports, and promoting innovation, Trend reports via the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA).
The Agency notes that entrepreneurs have invested nearly 748 million manat ($440 million) in industrial zones managed by the agency between 2021 and 2024.
Moreover, the report highlighted that during this period, 865 permanent jobs were created, contributing to employment growth in the region.
The total value of products sold during this period reached approximately 11.6 billion manat ($6.8 billion), with over 4 billion manat ($2.3 billion) of this value coming from exports.
