BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Kazakhstan and Presight AI are exploring expanded cooperation on artificial intelligence infrastructure, smart city solutions, digital transport systems and data processing, as the country accelerates its digital transformation.

This was reflected in the statement by the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, following a meeting between Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of international technology company Presight AI.

The sides discussed opportunities to develop AI and digital infrastructure, Smart City projects, digital transportation systems, and data storage and processing infrastructure.

Presight AI, part of the international G42 group, specializes in applied artificial intelligence and big data analytics. With the company’s participation, a Smart City project has been implemented in Astana, while the national supercomputing infrastructure Alem.Cloud has also been established.

Particular attention was given to expanding digital solutions in the transportation sector and developing intelligent infrastructure at Astana International Airport. The sides also discussed using AI to improve urban management, public safety and the quality of services, as well as developing domestic technological expertise and human capital.

Bektenov said Kazakhstan is entering a new stage of digital transformation, noting that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.

“Kazakhstan is creating favorable conditions for attracting long-term and technology-intensive investment,” Bektenov said, according to the government.

Pramotedham, in turn, expressed Presight AI’s readiness to expand its presence in Kazakhstan and pursue new joint projects in applied AI, digital infrastructure and technology solutions for key sectors of the economy.
