ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 17. The production volume of petroleum products at KazMunayGas in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 10 percent compared to Q1 2024, reaching 4.76 million tons, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
According to the company’s Q1 2025 production results, the highest growth was observed in gasoline (+26.1 percent) and diesel fuel (+10.1 percent).
Moreover, Kazakhstan's refineries produced 3.39 million tons, while KMG International refineries produced 1.36 million tons (+33.5 percent). The growth at foreign refineries is related to the recovery of processing volumes after technological restrictions last year.
The decrease in the production of other petroleum products by 5.3 percent is due to the transition of the Atyrau Oil Refinery to the production of light petroleum products, which aligns with the company’s strategy to increase profitability.
