BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. A total of 1.4 billion manat ($841 million) was invested in Azerbaijan's mining industry from January through April of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that this figure is 116 million manat ($68 million) or 7.5 percent. lower compared to the same period last year (1.5 billion or $910 million).
The share of investments directed to fixed capital in this sector amounted to 28.2 percent.
During the mentioned period, the total volume of investments in Azerbaijan's industrial sector amounted to 2.18 billion manat ($1.28 billion).
