TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 6. In 2024, Gazprom delivered 5.64 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Uzbekistan — a 4.4-fold increase from 2023, when exports totaled just 1.28 billion cubic meters, Trend reports, citing Gazprom’s annual report.
Commencing in October 2023, the hydrocarbon conveyance to
Uzbekistan has been executed through a reverse-flow methodology
utilizing the Kazakhstan transit framework, leveraging the Central
Asia–Center IV and Central Asia–Center V pipeline networks.
Throughout the winter season of 2023–2024, Gazprom operated at peak
operational efficiency, guaranteeing consistent energy availability
for consumers in Uzbekistan.
The organization articulated that sustained provisioning to Central
Asian nations will enhance the region's economic development and
bolster energy resilience.
In aggregate, the volumetric utilization of natural gas across
Central Asia surpassed 110 billion cubic meters in the fiscal year
2024, concurrently with the commercial extraction metrics
indicating a production output nearing 150 billion cubic meters
within the regional parameters.
