BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. The State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy has ensured payments totaling 86.6 million manat ($50.9 million) to the state budget from privatization and leasing from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the service indicates that this figure is 16.5 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, the service held 18 auctions over this period, privatizing stakes in four joint-stock companies, one small state enterprise, and 424 vehicles.
The State Property Service finalized 1,752 new lease agreements in the first five months of the year, comprising 233 for non-residential properties and 1,519 for land plots. These leasing activities generated 18 million manat ($10.5 million) in revenue for the state budget, marking an 18.6 percent year-on-year increase.
