Mineral and freshwater exports and the unit export value decreased in 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat)
In 2019 Georgia earned $133.50 million from exports of 221.17 million liters of mineral and fresh water, in 2020 export revenues amounted to $116.58 million (213.15 million liters). Thus, the export value of the bottle decreased from $0.60 to $0.54.
According to the National Statistical Office, the largest amount of water has been exported to Russia and Ukraine in the last two years.
In the first quarter of 2021, 53.41 million liters of mineral and fresh waters worth $29.36 million were exported from Georgia. In early 2021, the largest volumes of water were sent to Russia ($14.13 million), Ukraine ($6.67 million), Lithuania ($3.86 million), Belarus ($1.42 million) and the US ($688,600).
