ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 2. The flour mill of the 'Balkangallaonumleri' production association located in the Gyzylarbat district of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan by 47 percent in 2023, Trend reports.

According to official data, during the specified period, the enterprise processed more than 43,000 tons of wheat and produced over 32,000 tons of flour, including the highest and first grades.

Furthermore, the flour mill produced almost 10,000 tons of bran for animal feeding over the past year.

The plant's technological equipment is capable of processing an annual capacity of 50,000 tons of wheat.

At the same time, two granaries with a total capacity of 80,000 tons are located on the territory of the enterprise.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan prioritizes agricultural expansion and food security due to its enormous natural resources and favorable environment.

Turkmenistan's government has paid special attention to the food sector in recent years, aiming to reduce the country's reliance on imports and secure a sustainable supply of food for the population.
