TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 22. Uzbekistan manufactured textile products worth 6 billion soums ($501 million) in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure has increased by 20 percent year-on-year (5 billion soums or $419 million in January 2024).
The share of manufactured textile products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.6 percent.
Concurrently, the apparel manufacturing output in Uzbekistan attained a staggering 1.5 billion soums ($130 million) during this timeframe, reflecting a robust 15.4 percent uptick relative to the corresponding period of the previous year (1.3 billion soums, or $110 million in January 2024).
The share of clothing in the structure of the manufacturing industry reached 3.5 percent.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $2.86 billion in 2024. This figure has decreased by 15 percent year-on-year ($3.05 billion in 2023).
