BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. Iran's non-oil exports to West Asian countries increased by 10 percent during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Director General of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran's (TPOI) West Asia Office Abdul Amir Rabihavi told local media, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran's non-oil exports to West Asian countries amounted to $12 billion during six months.
Rabihavi added that Jordan recorded the highest growth in non-oil exports among West Asian countries during the six months. Thus, non-oil exports to this country increased from $2 million to $13 million.
The official noted that Iran's non-oil exports to Lebanon rose from $9 million to $18 million, to Bahrain from $4 million to $6 million, and to Kuwait from $87 million to $114 million in six months.
He added that Iran's non-oil exports to Oman rose from $638 million to $782 million, to Iraq from $4.55 billion to $5.19 billion, to the UAE from $3.02 billion to $3.4 billion, and to Qatar from $58 million to $64 million in 6 months.
To note, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months of the year. Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
