Iran tallies volume of non-oil exports from its Kurdistan province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. The non-oil exports from Iran's Kurdistan province abroad during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024) were valued at $130 million for a total of 320,000 tons, representative of the province agricultural office Pouya Shahsavari told reporters, Trend reports.

He said that the export grew by nine percent in weight terms in the reporting period compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).

Meanwhile, 227,000 tons of agricultural products worth $59 million and 62,000 tons of garden products worth $43 million were exported from the province abroad, the official explained.

Shahsavari added that during eight months of the current Iranian year, 29,000 tons of livestock products worth $27 million and 3,000 tons of fish products worth $3 million were exported from the province to foreign markets.

To note, Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 104 million tons worth $38.2 billion in the reporting period. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight.
