BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. The total agricultural production value in Azerbaijan rose by 1.9 percent from January through March 2025 year-on-year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Agriculture shows that this figure at current prices amounted to 1.6 billion manat ($940 million).
Of this amount, 1.5 billion manat, or $880 million (94.3 percent), came from livestock, and 91.5 million manat, or $53.8 million (5.7 percent), came from crop production.
During the reporting period, the contribution of agriculture, forestry, and fishing to GDP was 3.1 percent.
To note, 122,200 hectares were sown with spring crops during this period, representing a 0.5 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 2024.
