BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The production volume of agricultural products in Azerbaijan continues to grow.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Agriculture indicates that
the aggregate output metric of agrarian commodities in the initial
quarter of the fiscal year has escalated by 1.9 percent relative to
the corresponding timeframe of the preceding year.
The livestock sector has played a pivotal role in augmenting the
production volume trajectory.
The aggregate valuation of agricultural output at prevailing market
rates reached 1.6 billion manat ($941.1 million), with a
substantial 94.3 percent (1.51 billion manat or $888.2 million)
ascribed to the livestock domain, while the crop production segment
accounted for a modest 5.7 percent (91.5 million manat or $53.8
million).
