BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 16. Liquidity in Iran saw a significant rise of 27.8 percent by the end of the last Iranian year (March 20, 2025), compared to the end of the previous year (March 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBI) indicates that total liquidity had reached 102 quadrillion rials (around $174 billion) by the end of the reporting period, up from 78.8 quadrillion rials (about $135 billion) a year earlier. The share of money in total liquidity stood at 26.3 quadrillion rials (about $45.1 billion), marking a 37.5 percent increase compared to the end of the previous year, when it amounted to 19.1 quadrillion rials (about $32.8 billion).
The data also shows that the share of quasi-money in liquidity reached 75.3 quadrillion rials (about $129 billion) by the end of the year, an increase of 26.4 percent from the previous year’s figure of 59.6 quadrillion rials (about $102 billion).
