BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. A total of 1.07 million tons of agricultural products were grown in the Bushehr Province, located in the south of Iran, in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025), Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department of Iran's Bushehr Province Kubra Tavakkoli told reporters, Trend reports.
According to her, Bushehr Province has 22,300 hectares of arable land and date orchards.
Tavakkoli said that 660,000 tons of tomatoes, 170,000 tons of dates, and 240,000 tons of other vegetable products were grown during the mentioned period.
She added that the agricultural production in the province in the mentioned volume also impacts the province's export of products. Thus, the province exports about 300,000 tons of agricultural products annually.
To note, the average annual growth volume of agricultural products in Iran exceeds 130 million tons. Agricultural areas in Iran total more than 12 million hectares.
