BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Iran's product exports through the customs of Qazvin Province, located in the country's west, decreased by 15 percent in value and five percent in weight in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) compared to the same month last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024).
The data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Customs Administration shows that 36,000 tons of products worth $21 million were exported through the above customs in the first month.
The export included detergents, copper wire, glass containers, potatoes and others. The products were mainly exported to Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan, Türkiye and Pakistan.
In the first month, 11,000 tons of products worth $56 million were imported through the province's customs, marking a year-on-year growth of 43 percent in value and 46 percent in weight.
During the month under review, various types of automobiles and spare parts, compressors, etc. were imported through the province's customs mainly from the UAE, Türkiye, China, Russia, and Germany.
The Iranian Customs Administration data shows that in the first month of this year, Iran exported 8.95 million tons of non-oil products worth $2.94 billion.
Meanwhile, the country's non-oil import amounted to 1.8 million tons valued at $2.85 billion in the first month of the current Iranian year. The value grew by 2.3 percent, while the volume decreased by 26.4 percent compared to the same month of last year.
