BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. A total of 136 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye from January through August 2024, which is 48 companies less than in the same period of 2023, the statement of Türkiye's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) said, Trend reports.
“While the total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 151.2 million Turkish liras ($4.4 million) in the reporting period, this figure amounted to 210.9 million Turkish liras ($6.1 million) in the same period of 2023,” the statement of TOBB reads.
The authority also noted that from January through August 2024, the majority of Azerbaijani companies (118) were registered in Istanbul.
“The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 92.4 million Turkish liras ($2.7 million),” TOBB emphasized.
According to the information, 71 trading companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye from January through August 2024.
The rest of the companies cover other sectors of the economy.
