BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Azerbaijan imported 420,200 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity from Georgia from January through April 2025, costing around $27,300.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that
Electricity imports from Georgia experienced a significant contraction, plummeting by 12.2 million kWh in volume, reflecting a 30-fold decrement, alongside a decline of $794,200 in value, which also signifies a 30-fold reduction, in comparison to the corresponding timeframe of 2024 (12.6 million kWh, valued at $821.5).
During the specified timeframe, Azerbaijan executed the importation of 30 million kWh of electrical energy from the jurisdictions of Russia, Georgia, and Iran, culminating in a cumulative valuation of $933,000.
