BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the prime ministers of EAEU member states and the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board in Cholpon-Ata.
This was reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz President in a statement dated August 7.
The meeting was attended by Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, whose country has observer status in the EAEU, also participated in the meeting.
"Kyrgyzstan considers the EAEU an important platform for developing equal and mutually beneficial partnership, deepening economic integration and implementing joint projects," Japarov said.
The president confirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue active participation in the union's activities.
Japarov said the next Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027, during the country's chairmanship of the EAEU bodies. He also proposed expanding participation in the forum to include partner countries and international organizations, the press release added.
The Kyrgyz president further called for greater cooperation on industrial and agro-industrial projects and equal access for all EAEU member states to existing support and financing mechanisms.
For reference, Kyrgyzstan joined the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015, gaining access to a common market of goods, services, capital and labor while taking part in the bloc's common customs and trade framework. Russia and Kazakhstan are among Kyrgyzstan's largest trading partners, making the EAEU market particularly important for the country's external trade and investment flows. Membership has also supported labor mobility, with a large number of Kyrgyz citizens working in other EAEU member states.
For Kyrgyzstan, the EAEU agenda increasingly extends beyond tariff and trade issues to industrial cooperation, infrastructure, agriculture and investment. The country has sought greater participation in joint programs and financing mechanisms designed to support economic development across the bloc. This is particularly relevant for Kyrgyzstan as it works to attract investment into manufacturing, energy, transport and agro-processing while improving its connectivity with other EAEU markets.
