BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Uzbekistan's Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent" and international RegTech firm Regnology discussed cooperation on modernizing the country's capital market infrastructure, with a focus on risk management and the digitalization of market reporting.

This was reflected in the statement by the Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent".

The meeting brought together representatives of the Tashkent Stock Exchange and Regnology, a global provider of regulatory technology solutions for financial institutions and public-sector organizations.

The discussions focused on strengthening Uzbekistan's capital market infrastructure by improving risk management mechanisms for clearing corporate securities transactions and exploring the introduction of a modern platform for standardized digital market reporting.

"The parties highlighted the importance of continuing the exchange of expertise and further developing cooperation in these areas," the stock exchange said in a statement.

According to the exchange, the proposed platform would support the digitalization and standardization of reporting processes, helping to improve transparency, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in Uzbekistan's capital market.

The talks form part of broader efforts to modernize the country's financial market infrastructure and align it with international standards, as Uzbekistan continues to implement capital market reforms to attract domestic and foreign investment.

Headquartered in Europe, Regnology develops regulatory reporting, risk management and financial data solutions for banks, financial institutions and government agencies. The company's technologies are used in more than 100 countries, supporting compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

The meeting reflects Uzbekistan's ongoing efforts to strengthen market infrastructure through the adoption of advanced financial technologies and international best practices as it seeks to deepen its capital markets and improve the investment environment.
