BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. The development of digital trade, expanding access for financial market participants, and the creation of unified rules remain important areas for deepening integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

This was announced by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, during an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

He noted that the agreement on electronic commerce in goods will be an important step in creating transparent and predictable conditions for businesses in the Union's domestic market.

"Modern digital commerce should become our domestic growth driver. However, the lack of supranational rules threatens cross-border barriers and disrupts the balance of interests between the state, businesses, and citizens," Kasymaliev said.

According to him, all EAEU countries are interested in protecting consumer rights, increasing market transparency, and preventing the circulation of illegal products.

Kasymaliev also noted the importance of the agreement on allowing brokers and dealers to participate in organized exchange trading. According to his assessment, the implementation of this document will expand financial market participants' access to the Union's infrastructure, increase investment activity, and facilitate the formation of a common financial space.

Furthermore, the head of the Kyrgyz government emphasized the importance of the agreement on mutual recognition of academic degrees, which will be a step toward developing the EAEU's scientific and technological space.

"The signing of this document will be another practical step toward developing the scientific and technological space of the Eurasian Economic Union," he emphasized.
