BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Kazakhstan proposed accelerating the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the integrated information system of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to improve the efficiency of data analysis, forecasting, and the development of the union's internal market.

This was announced by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

According to him, common information processes are the technological foundation for the functioning of the EAEU's internal market, as they ensure the exchange of structured data between member states and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

"It already accumulates significant amounts of information in various areas of economic cooperation, which is used primarily as a source of information. Meanwhile, the implementation of artificial intelligence technology can take the management of this data to a qualitatively new level, transforming it into an effective tool for analysis and forecasting," Bektenov noted.

He emphasized that the use of digital solutions will allow for more effective assessment of mutual trade dynamics, identifying key trends and factors influencing trade turnover, and optimizing cargo flows and transport routes between the Union countries.

At the same time, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan highlighted the need to accelerate the implementation of common information processes within the EAEU.

"Currently, these include 79 items, 50 of which have been implemented, and only 23 have all member states been connected," he said.

Bektenov proposed that the Eurasian Economic Commission, together with member states, accelerate the implementation of the remaining processes and separately address the integration of AI technologies into the Union's digital infrastructure.

According to him, the development of such solutions will improve the quality of economic process management and create additional business opportunities within the EAEU common market.
