ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 5. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) transported and loaded into tankers about 16 million tons of oil from Kazakhstan's Tengiz field from January through July 2024, Trend reports, citing the press service of CPC.

This was stated during a meeting between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Tengizchevroil General Manager for Marketing and Transport Laurie Sasko.

"The CPC oil pipeline system is reliable, stable, safe, and capable of transporting about 72.5 million tons of oil per year from Kazakhstani territory and up to 83 million tons of oil per year through the Russian Federation," Gorban said.

The parties discussed the implementation of current and future requests for oil transportation from the Tengiz field via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, including taking into account ongoing repair work at the field in 2024.

In addition, Sasko informed Gorban about the progress of Tengizchevroil's Future Growth Project - Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) in order to increase oil production volumes.

The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy sector, with the participation of foreign capital in the CIS. It is unique in its own way, especially in light of the current political and economic situation in the region and around the world.

The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk oil pipeline is 1,511 km. More than two-thirds of all Kazakh oil exports, as well as raw materials from Russian fields, including those located in the Caspian Sea, are transported along this route.
