BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. An American KC-135 tanker aircraft crashed in Iraq, U.S. Central Command wrote on its X page, Trend reports.
A search and rescue operation is reportedly underway at the crash site.
The command noted that the aircraft participating in the operation against Iran was not shot down.
The statement said the plane crashed in western Iraq "as a result of an incident involving another aircraft." However, the second plane was able to land after the incident.
