Caspian Pipeline Consortium tallies volume of oil transportation for 10M2024

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 27. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported the volume of oil transported from January through October 2024, Trend reports.

The board of directors and shareholders of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium discussed the annual results in Dubai. According to the company, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium transported 53 million tons of oil from January through October 2024. These volumes were loaded onto 492 tankers, which is two more vessels compared to last year’s figures.

Earlier, it was noted that in January-September, CPC transported 48.48 million tons of oil. Therefore, in October, shipments amounted to approximately 4.52 million tons.

CPC connects oil fields in western Kazakhstan and Russian fields on the Caspian shelf to a marine terminal in Novorossiysk. The length of the route is 1,511 km. The system serves as the main export route for Kazakh oil, accounting for more than 80 percent of the volumes pumped through the pipeline from Kazakhstan.

In addition to Transneft and the Russian Federation, CPC shareholders include: Kazakhstan (represented by KazMunayGas – 19 percent and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC – 1.75 percent) – 20.75 percent, Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company – 15 percent, LUKOIL International GmbH – 12.5 percent, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company – 7.5 percent, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited – 7.5 percent, BG Overseas Holding Limited – 2 percent, Eni International N.A. N.V. – 2 percent, and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1.75 percent.
