ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 29. Kazakhstan imposes a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, including to EAEU countries, Trend reports.
An indefinite ban on the export of petroleum products from Kazakhstan, including to EAEU (the Eurasian Economic Union) countries, has been in effect since January 29, 2025.
The prohibition on transporting diesel fuel and specific petroleum products by road does not extend to fuel contained within vehicle fuel tanks. It likewise does not pertain to aviation fuel utilized for research endeavors or to particular petroleum products sent abroad as humanitarian assistance under the directive of the Kazakh government.
Also, a ban has been introduced on the export of petroleum products by rail, except for gasoline exports according to supply plans as well as petroleum products exported as humanitarian aid or to assist in eliminating the consequences of natural disasters, accidents, or catastrophes. This restriction will be in effect from February 1, 2025, to March 29, 2025.
Additionally, this decree comes into force following its first official publication.
