ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 1. China's Dalian Hesheng Holdings plots to build a coal-fired thermal power plant (TPP) which is expected to produce from 150,000 up to 400,000 tons of liquid ammonia annually, Trend reports via KAZAKH INVEST.
The company notes that the TPP will serve as the primary source of energy for the coal-chemical complex, i.e. all heat generated by the plant will be fully utilized for the enterprise's internal needs. The exact capacity of the TPP will be determined as part of the preparation of project documentation. At the same time, KAZAKH INVEST precluded the possibility that the Chinese company will obtain the rights to exploit the coal deposit in Kazakhstan.
Additionally, to implement the project, Dalian Hesheng Holdings
Group plans to purchase coal on the open market without acquiring
subsurface rights. All stages of the project will comply with
strict environmental standards and requirements aimed at minimizing
the impact on the environment. Meanwhile, processed coal products
will be used in production to manufacture the final products.
