"KazMunayGas" Askhat Khassenov met with the leadership of LLP
"Kalamkas-Khazar Operating" (KKO). The company is the operator of
the joint project between "KazMunayGas" and PJSC ""
"Lukoil"—"Kalamkas-More-Khazar." The current status of the work and
tasks for 2025 were discussed.
The project documentation is in the works. As per the cooperation
memorandum with KKO, the specialists from the RSE "State Expertise"
will be rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty in
the work as well. KKO has been handed the ball to wrap up the
design and pick the right EPC contractor to get the construction
rolling.
To note, "Kalamkas-More-Khazar" is one of the largest and most
technologically complex projects in Kazakhstan. As part of the
development of local content, the construction of sea platforms
will be carried out at Kazakh shipyards for the first time, marking
a significant step for domestic shipbuilding and the oil and gas
industry.
