ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 15. The Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, visited the TEMPO Kazakhstan feasibility study plant in the Saran industrial zone during a working trip to Kazakhstan's Karaganda region, Trend reports.
The construction work for this project was planned for
2023-2025. The project’s cost is 25 billion tenge ($50 million),
and its design capacity will allow the production of 250,000 tons
of products per year.
“Currently, construction and installation works have been completed
at 95 percent. The construction of the metal structure factory,
external wall concrete works, roofing, and overpass have been
completed. Internal works and the installation of engineering
networks continue,” the information notes.
The Minister also visited the factory of "Kazakhstan Hot-Dip
Galvanizing Plant." The plant plans to complete construction in
2023-2025. The project cost is 6.2 billion tenge ($12.4 million),
and its design capacity will provide 50,000 tons of galvanized
products per year and the production of 8,000 tons of metal
structures.
According to the information, the construction and installation
works at the plant are 80 percent complete. The main works include
foundation construction, the installation of metal structures,
cladding with sandwich panels, and the installation of half of the
production equipment.
“The investment in the project amounted to 5.8 billion tenge ($11.6 million). The construction of the plant will be completed in 2025, and the products will be sold in Kazakhstan and the EAEU countries,” the ministry added.
As part of the working trip, Yersaiyn Nagaspayev visited the
metallurgical plant JSC "Qarmet" in Temirtau. The Minister was
briefed on the progress of the investment program for the
modernization of the plant. This enterprise, launched in 1960, is
one of the largest and most important productions in Kazakhstan’s
metallurgical industry today.
JSC "Qarmet" produces 3.2 million tons of pig iron, 3.5 million
tons of steel, 3.3 million tons of rolled products, and 6.1 million
tons of coal per year. Currently, 29,117 people work at the plant.
The company’s production capacities, working conditions, and
enterprise stability play a significant role in the development of
Kazakhstan’s metallurgical industry.
The investment in the "TEMPO Kazakhstan" project amounted to 12.4 billion tenge ($24.8 million). The plant is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. TEO "TEMPO Kazakhstan" intends to sell its products in Kazakhstan and the EAEU countries.

It is one of the major players in the Kazakh market, offering products and solutions for various industries, including industrial, energy, and construction sectors.
The "Saran" industrial zone is located in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. This zone is home to various manufacturing and industrial enterprises, including those involved in heavy industry, machine engineering, and construction.
