ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 7. Kazakhstan plans to extend the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas and propane for another six months, Trend reports.

The relevant draft order of the Ministry of Energy has been published on the "Open Legal Acts" portal and is available for public discussion until April 21.

The draft order indicates that the six-month ban will cover exports of liquefied petroleum gas, propane, and butane.

"In order to ensure the domestic market of the Republic of Kazakhstan with liquefied petroleum gas, a ban on export from the country will be introduced for six months starting from May 14, 2025," the document says.

In November 2024, the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas by road and rail transport from Kazakhstan was extended for six months. Its expiration was originally scheduled for April 2025.
