BAKU. Azerbaijan. April 28. The ship
modernization program and focus on pre-checking processes will
ensure smoother logistics in Azerbaijan, Mike Shaw, director of
Orbis Risk Partners, told Trend in an exclusive interview during the Caspian and
Central Asian Oil Trade and Logistics Forum in Baku.
Throughout his interview, Shaw noted that the company has been
operating in the Caspian region for a long time, during which
significant changes have taken place. According to him, 10-15 years
ago, many ships were outdated, but today a large-scale program is
underway to modernize and improve their quality.
"This work positively impacts the reliability of transportation and
the predictability of product delivery, which is a significant step
forward for the entire region," emphasized Shaw.
Speaking about the delivery and customs clearance system in
Azerbaijan, he noted that one of the key recommendations is to
ensure that all processes are fully prepared before the shipment of
goods.
According to him, this approach reduces the number of unexpected
situations and ensures smoother movement of goods.
"It helps avoid unpleasant surprises and makes logistics more
predictable," he added.
The Caspian and Central Asian Oil Trade and Logistics Forum took
place in Baku on April 24-25.
