BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. The revenues on compulsory state social insurance contributions in Azerbaijan under conditions of the "formalization" of the number of employees and the wage fund exceeded 2.38 billion manat ($1.4 billion) from January through April 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Tax Service shows that revenues from this source increased by 12.3 percent, or 223.5 million manat ($131.47 million), year on year.
Revenues of off-budget organizations grew by 14.6 percent year on year, exceeding 1.35 billion manat ($790 million).
Meanwhile, revenues from unemployment insurance contributions rose by 12.1 percent compared to the same period of 2024 and exceeded 72 million manat ($42.47 million). Revenues of extra-budgetary organizations increased by 13.1 percent and surpassed 55.2 million manat ($32.47 million).
Revenues from mandatory health insurance premiums increased by 11.8 percent compared to the same period of last year, hitting 355.7 million manat ($209.2 million). Payments to extra-budgetary organizations increased by 11.5 percent, exceeding 251 million manat ($147.6 million).
