ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 27. Starting July 1, 2025, a new tariff for oil transportation on the main pipeline section "Kenkiyak – Atyrau" will come into effect for the domestic market, Trend reports via KazTransOil.
"KazTransOil and MunaiTas (a joint venture of JSC KazTransOil (51 percent) and CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd. (49 percent)) announce the approval of a new tariff for the regulated service of oil transportation via the main pipeline 'Kenkiyak – Atyrau' to Kazakhstan's domestic market," the company explained.
The tariff will be as follows:
From 01.07.2025 to 30.06.2026 — 11,193 tenge (≈ $22.39) per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT);
From 01.07.2026 to 30.06.2027 — 11,233 tenge (≈ $22.47) per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT);
From 01.07.2027 to 30.06.2028 — 11,259 tenge (≈ $22.52) per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT);
From 01.07.2028 to 30.06.2029 — 11,286 tenge (≈ $22.57) per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT);
From 01.07.2029 to 30.06.2030 — 11,293 tenge (≈ $22.59) per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT).
The tariff will come into force on July 1, 2025, for a period of five years. The tariff on this route has not been revised since 2012, KazTransOil explained. Its update is the result of implementing an incentive tariff-setting method for oil pumping services to the domestic market based on the principle of "Tariff in exchange for investments."
KazTransOil's consolidated revenue for 2024 amounted to 311.9 billion tenge (≈ $623.8 million), which is 7.4 percent higher than the same indicator for 2023. The consolidated net profit amounted to 41.578 billion tenge (≈ $83.16 million), which is 26.6 percent higher than the 2023 result. The total amount of taxes and other mandatory payments paid by KazTransOil to the budget in 2024 was 41.3 billion tenge (≈ $82.6 million), 3 percent higher than in 2023.
